I love Edward D. Wood Jr. When I say love, I mean obsessed!
How obsessed you ask? I own some very rare poster/scripted
owned by Eddie himself. Well that’s not obsessed per say, it
might just mean I’m a shrewd collector. I own women clothes
worn his late wife Kathy Wood. Not rare clothes. Not clothes
even worn or even seen by Eddie, but clothes bought 20+
years after his death. Does that make me obsessed or just
plan creepy. Regardless I’ve firmly established my uber nerd
status so now I can go on and tell you about the three Plan
9 from Outer Space remakes that are currently in production.
Well technically this first film isn’t a remake per say,
more of a tribute. It’s John A. Moody’s Plan B from Outer
Space. He once sent me an email asking me for money, and
here it is. As it’s not personal in natural I don’t feel bad
about reprinting it. I’m sure he has sent it out to anyone
he could. Moody's blogs and emails are yellow. My comments
on his blogs and emails are in white.
SUBJECT: Hey Lez... Plan B From Outer Space!
Hey man,
My name is Jonathan A. Moody and I am the
co-writer-Producer-Director of the upcoming B Movie epic...
PLAN B FROM OUTER SPACE! Plan B was scheduled to shoot in
Feb of this year
FAIL!
but got pushed back. And now alot of hard work and
dedication is going to make sure this happens.
This movie is never going to happen.
Here's the story:
Luke Van Helsing falls in love with Veronica Dracula. But
their families are at war against each other. Throw in a
retarded robot named rusty, A crossdressing vampire hunter
named Glen who goes by Glenda at night, A kooky mad
scientist named Dr. Brain, 4 gorgeous female aliens, and
many other random characters you get this wacked out B
Movie.
Does anyone really like movies that are deliberately
“good/bad”. See the thing with “good/bad” is that there
needs to be an element of GOOD to contrast the bad. They’re
a lot of good things about Plan 9, the music, the casting,
the odd mix of gothic horror and science fiction. The good
elements endear us to the bad! Nuff Said.
Just in time for Plan 9 from Outer Space's 50th Anniversary.
Plan B From Outer Space is scheduled for April even though
we are still seeking funds.
EPIC FAIL!
Any investors interested feel free to check out these
sites
and Plan B's official
Myspace
site (Which is still saying Plan 8 which was its original
title). Hope you guys can print that stuff because we're
trying to get the word out there.
Not in a million year! DOUBLE EPIC FAIL PLUS ONE!!!
Kind Regards,
Jonathan A. Moody
Needless to say I didn’t appreciate his email. Nor do I
think this film is ever going to be made. If I were a
potential investor the Sick Flick Productions
website
wouldn’t fill me with confidence. Let have a look!
Would you buy a used movie from this man?
This is a picture of the Big M himself. This is the actually
picture that’s appears on the front page of his site. Now
settle down, this isn’t a cheap shot at this looks, it’s a
cheap shot at this camera work? Would you give a million
dollars to a man that can even crop photo?
Maybe it should look a little like this. I’m guessing he
never went to film school. The front page also tells us to
“check back often for news updates and announcments (sic) on
projects.” The last update was 6 months ago. And it was
about this
podcast show
(to his credit he tends to get interesting guest on his
show) not his movies.
In Development
He has two posters from Plan B. The first one is cool
enough. We find out it’s co-written by the similar named of
Johnny A. Mann. What the chances of that.
The second poster is a dreary waste of space, and some of
text is too small to read. We also see that this film was
met to come out late 2008.

I’ve blown it up here for you. Oddly enough it seems to be
produced by Micro Cinema Studios not Sick Flicks. Anyway who
really cares? Let’s move on.
Underneath is an email address that investors can contact
them on. It’ss
sickflickproductions@gmail.com.
I know I’m impressed by the gmail address as well. Clearly
they didn’t have the dollar a month to spring for email
hosting.
They have a second film in development in which I’m
genuinely interested in. It’s called…

FUCK YEAH! I wanted to know more so I just clicked on the
link that look me to there myspace… oh wait a minute, I
didn’t. There was no link and I had to find it myself.. Oh
yeah this is the point in which I stop talking about Plan 9
and start ranting about Sasquatch vs Yeti. If your not a
cryptologist, don’t worry I will update you on the other two
Plans soon. So let’s look at the history of SVY!
SVY MYSPACE: Tuesday, November 13, 2007
The scripts first draft should be done very shortly. Looking
forward to getting more than 1000 friends on this one. So
tell everyone you can to add me.
Sasquatch VS Yeti has 286 friends.
As most of you know I've had problems with ideas I've had
and never stuck with and this is getting WAYYYY more buzz by
title alone than anything I've ever done. I want to use this
as a way to get, "Plan 8 From Outer Space" off the ground. I
want Plan 8 to be a Huge b movie with lots of b movie stars
so this one will just be a way to logically jump from one to
another.
SVY MYSPACE: Friday, November 16, 2007
Keith Stoddard … will be helping me do a fantastic draft of
SvsY… … Understand this movie WILL NOT just be 2 people in
suits fighting eachother (though that will most likely be a
part of it).
So what, it is going to be a bunch of talking heads? If I
want amazing drama I’ll watch E.R.! I want mythical
creatures fighting to the death and as much of it as I can
handle!
…I'm
gonna be fixing up the script when it starts rolling to be
something fun, entertaining, but also dramatic. I'm not
trying to put as much comedy in the movie because it just
doesn't seem like it would have it.
WTF! This movie isn’t tongue in cheek? That must be this
movies biggest joke!
However there are going to be light bits of humor spread
through out so its not trying to scare you the whole time.
Phew, there is nothing scarier than two mythical creatures
fighting. The 7th Voyage of Sinbad terrifies me
every time.
… I've been trying to nail the first act down before I even
think about moving on to the second… … I might give you guys
a sample scene on one of these blogs.
We are still waiting for some sample scenes.
SVY MYSPACE: Sunday, November 18, 2007
This script is already different than most I’ve started
writing… …The first act alone right now to me seems to be a
different film. I don't mean different as original or
creative or whatever but different as in the characters. At
least so far the two main characters are likeable. It's
already got drama in it. And you're starting to care about
these characters. And I really like that. I want characters
you can actually connect with opposed to just cookie cutter,
boring, stereotypical characters.
Is he saying all this other scripts are filled with
“cookie cutter, boring, stereotypical characters?”
… I love this part of the blog where I can divulge my ideas
about writing the screenplay. If you want to know anything
feel free to ask.
No one asked anything. Not to worry. As this is this first
script he’s written (or co-written) that hasn’t had “cookie
cutter, boring, stereotypical characters” don’t think he has
much insight into the writing process.
I hardly ever write things in long hand because I can't
erase in pen like I can delete on the computer.
Fascinating! It looks like I was wrong.
SVY MYSPACE: Monday, November 19, 2007
Who do you want to win? What kind of deaths would you like
to see?
Yes I am asking the fans and friends of Sasquatch VS Yeti
what you'd like to see...
Ummm… a Sasquatch fighting a Yeti so about do it. It’s as
simple as the title suggests.
However, even though we're gonna come up with some great
ideas you guys may have some even cooler ideas we never
thought of.
Have you ever thought about facing a Sasquatch off against a
Yeti?
Sasquatch Mountain the other night and MAN OH MAN no indie
person can ever do a Sasquatch movie right at all.
What about Ryan Schifrin’s Abominable. I’ve never seen it,
but I hear it’s a fun Sasquatch/Yeti type flick. It even
stars the beautiful Tiffany Shepis.
The only movie that did a good job with everything is Ryan
Schifrin's Abominable. Seriously go check that out if you
want to watch a fun Sasquatch/Yeti type flick on a saturday
night before this one comes out. It even stars the beautiful
Tiffany Shepis.
Couldn’t agree more, there are no good Sasquatch movies out
there.
So let us know if you have any ideas. Don't put them down in
the comments though. You can write you sent me one but don't
send them to the comments… email them to Sick Flick
Productions official email address:
sickflickproductions@hotmail.com
That means you too B Movie New’ers!
SVY MYSPACE: Tuesday, November 20, 2007
…we are kicking ass and taking names.
Moody: Let get Bruce Campbell for the lead!
Keith: Yeah, everyone will want to see it then.
Moody: I’ll myspace him now!
Keith: Ouch, did you just kick my arse Moody?
The truth is things are really starting to roll.
Hmmm… an unfinished script. No actors. No funding. No
Location. No Props… things are starting to roll!
and trust me the buzz is already starting to go around.
I always trust people who need to preamble there sentences
with phases like “the truth is” and “trust me”.
SVY MYSPACE: Friday, November 23, 2007
Arrow in the
head
makes mention of us... Man, this is starting to blow up
already... Keith and I are well on our way to finishing up a
good draft of the script and then we'll be doing some
merchandising stuff (T shirts, key chains, and possibly even
some beanie babies of Sasquatch and Yeti) So get ready for
alot more updates coming soon.
What?!! Merchandise?!! How about a second draft of the
script! Getting actors! Finding locations! NOT MAKING BEANIE
BABIES!!!

Sasquatch VS Yeti Army (54 Members)
Also we just started up a sick flick productions
web forum.
There you can read posts like
This is Jonathan Moody... Tell us what you think of me. And
don't be afraid. I won't kill you for being a jerk. I just
may laugh at your ugly face. But that's all.
And another Moody classic
However the case is Sick Flick Productions is becoming a
staple in the b movie horror genre and we are proud to have
the line: Making B Movies fun again
How many movies have Sick Flick made again? They have no
movies listed on
imdb.
Moody only has one credit. He is Co-executive producer on
an analogy of short horror films called
Monsterpiece Theatre Volume 1.
What on earth is an co-executive producer? From my
understanding it's a bullshit title that’s given out freely.
I like how the filmmakers are confident enough to name there
film Volume 1. It’s the year 2009 PEOPLE! Short films belong
on youtube NOT on a dvd! You’re kidding no one! I don’t
wanna mess with the Moodinator in this trivia section it
says he has a black belt in Shorin Ryu/Shorin Kan Okinawan
Karate.

We took the liberty to create an actual
blogsite
that'll be the first to give the info on SvsY before we do
it.
So let me get this right? They have a website (which is
never updated)! A message board (which is never updated)
several MySpace accounts (which they use to blog on) and NOW
they have another blog! Yet they don’t have a movie! Well
were would they ever find the time! They have beanie babies
to think about.

Sasquatch VS Yeti is in the hands of the co writer Keith
Stoddard right now.
Aka I’ve lost interest in it and have palmed it off to
someone else.
I'm also in the works of writing a comic book that I'm gonna
hopefully have done this week to show to a fantastic
illustrator. If he's interested hopefully we'll work
together on this. I'm basically taking a movie idea I had
and putting it out in comic form. Does that mean I'll never
do it as a movie script?
Pretty much!
Ya never know. Somebody else may want to adapt it in to a
hollywood screenplay one day.
No they wont.
It does have hollywood potential.
No it doesn’t
So ya never know.
Yes, I do.
Oddly enough at one stage I did email Moody about this
movie. At his is the Mood-Mesiter General's reply.
Right now Sasquatch VS Yeti is on a hiatus.
AKA It’s never going to happen.
My production company Sick Flick Productions has alot of
films in the works but right now
A group of college grad students fall prey to a
deadly urban legend
|
None of which are going to happen, because I Jonathan A.
Moody have ADD and cant stick with one project. Also my
scripts are way too ambitious and I have no business model
so no one (other than family) will ever invest in them.
SvsY is on the backburner till we can get enough money to do
it right.
Which is never.
However you can check out our production companies myspace:
http://www. myspace. com/Sickflickproductions or our new
movie being shot in late May http://www. myspace.
com/scavengertheflick
Hope to hear more from you
The Scavenger Myspace has no updates. I’m willing to guess
it was never shot in late may. In the mean time there has
been some updates on the Sick Flicks Blog.
Sick Flicks Blog: Monday, November 10, 2008
…unfortunately it looks like Supernatural Assassins is not
being made anytime soon. Does that mean it will never see
the light of day? I won't say that.
I would. Optimist or delusional?!! You decide!
It may one day happen. But unfortunately not with that
script and probably some of the same actors. But we'll see.
Yeah, yeah keep us in the loop.
Sick Flicks Blog: Tuesday, December 2, 2008
Here's the thing we really are hard at work on a new
webseries. Its called, "The Campfire"… We're in the works of
figuring staff writers/directors for the episodes too. And
seeking producers. We plan to shoot each episode for 2 grand
an episode so if anyone wants to help get us 20-30 grand
that'd be sweet.
Ok let’s quickly have a look at this site. At one stage this
article WAS about Plan 9 from Outer Space, but Jonathan A.
Moody is far too interesting as this stage. The first thing
you see is error messages reading
Picoodle Image Not Found.
You click on the link to Series 1 and it takes you to the
Official Jonathan Moody Myspace (I hate when I go to those
fake ones) I couldn’t find a single episode there. I guess
he didn’t get his 20-30 grand. But it’s ok, it looks like he
has landed on his feet.
Sick Flicks Blog: Tuesday, December 2, 2008
I just got finished my newest script "Jonathan A. Moody's
Cry of the Wolf!" Last night and I'm really excited about
this one... We start Pre Production as soon as possible and
hopefully plan to shoot in April.
April is going to by busy has he is planning to shooting
Plan B from Outer Space then this one. As April only has a
few more days in it, he should hurry up.
Also I'm hard at work developing a bunch of short films that
will hopefully go on a DVD for Indie Flix called, "Tales
from Lake Blood Vol 1" and then right after that "Tales from
Lake Blood Volume 2" will happen. But all throughout the
years and for no money what so ever.
I don’t know for sure but this could have been renamed to
Monsterpiece Theatre Volume 1.
And just in case your wondering, YES the Camp Fire Series
page did have a message board. But sadly it’s now closed. Oh
well I guess we can still post at the
Sick Flick
one.
Plan B from Outer Space is looking like it's gonna get made
sometime next year. Not sure when. Was originally hoping for
April but due to The Campfire being our top priority I'm not
really worried about it. Check out the myspace site for Plan
B right here
Now this isn’t the death of the Sasquatch or the Yeti. There
is one last post.
SVY MYSPACE:

Sasquatch VS Yeti is being re-written from scratch!
Co-Writer/Producer/Director Jonathan Moody here to discuss
whats been going on. I just looked and saw that I haven't
written a blog about SvsY in a looooong while. More than a
year in fact. So I felt like I should fill some stuff in.
Well Sick Flick Productions is hard at work at doing
something with it. I'll be re-writing the script from
scratch with a similar storyline from what I was originally
planning just a different script. Alot of the same
characters will be there tho.
But why? On your blogs you’ve said the following about the
script.
“It's looking good so far”
“I've got some effin sweet ideas on the kills.”
“It's already got drama in it. And you're starting to care
about these characters. And I really like that. I want
characters you can actually connect with opposed to just
cookie cutter, boring, stereotypical characters.”
“'I'm gonna be fixing up the script when it starts rolling
to be something fun, entertaining, but also dramatic.”
“Keith and I are well on our way to finishing up a good
draft of the script”
“Sasquatch VS Yeti is in the hands of the co writer Keith
Stoddard right now. He's been taking the wheel of it and
working on some really effin cool stuff I've been having the
pleasure of reading.”
So why are you restarting? Oh that right, this film wasn’t
Blockbuster enough!
There's 2 ways to handle it and that's gonna depend on the
script. We could make it a bigger movie. Over a million. Or
we could make it a much cheaper one in the 100-500 grand
range. Once again that depends on what the script evolves in
to.
This movie is gonna be awesome. I have some really kick ass
ideas to fix it up. And we'll be looking for cast/crew
pretty soon. I'm already writing it with people in mind to
be in it. We'll also be looking for exec producers soon too.
So if you wanna help pay for it let me know. And keep
checking back with these blogs more stuff coming soon, I
pinky promise!
Joe
francis
commented ‘That's a lot of money.’
Moody replied ‘Yessir... but we're not gonna make this for
like a grand and not pay anyone. It's gotta be taken
seriously or it won't be any good.’
Sage like advice Moods. I couldn’t agree more!
So back to the Sick Flick website the message board work.
Oddly enough he contact section has a fancy domain email. If
you wanna invest you can get the Moody-Toody on
JMoody@sickflickproductions.com
Now this is the point in which you all what me to compare
Jonathan Moody to Ed Wood. You want me to say things like
“While unsuccessful they both do what they love”. DON’T BE
FUCKING STUPID! Ed Wood made 35mm movies that have played in
cinemas all around the world! He used REAL Hollywood actors!
Even more impressive, he was a raging alcoholic yet he still
managed to make a living out of his writing. Jonathan A.
Moody is a no one, and as far as I can as tell as never made
a film. He has an ok podcast show, that’s it. I don’t hate
Jonathan A. Moody. If he made a great film, I would be the
first person to sing his praises. Moody just can’t stick
with a project, he gets bored and moves on. He likes
thinking about making movies. He likes getting people to
write him scripts and makes posters. But that's it. He likes
playing Movie Directors, and he never goes past this point.
That’s why he is never going to make any of these projects.
The link section takes you a few youtube and myspace
accounts. You can see boring as fuck raw footage of the
unmade Supernatural Assassins. You also can see footage of
Moods and his friends fooling about.
Go
to 2.02 to see Moody get bitched slapped.
Next time we will look at John Johnson’s Plan 9
