Have you notice there has been a glut of poorly made dtv
serial killer. Titles such as as
Son of
Sam (2008),
Curse
of the Zodiac
(2007),
and
Black
Dahila
(2006) are residing on our video store shelves. All of these
title belong to the Infamous Ulli Lommel. Lommel makes about
around four titles are year and he does them as cheaply as
possible! No one can really explain his dtv phase as he was
quite a respected filmmaker that worked with the likes of
Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Andy Warhol, and Klaus Kinski. He
was best remembered for directing the original Boogyman
(1980) and Tenderness of the Wolves (1973).
It seems like he might be returning to form with the first
of a trilogy entitled “ABSOLUTE EVIL - FINAL EXIT".
DAVID CARRADINE is "Raf McKane" in this first part of the
trilogy of evil: "ABSOLUTE EVIL - FINAL EXIT". He plays a
man of great depth, a warrior against the ravages of time, a
villain with a dark secret. A rope, torture, death and sex
thrills. "Raf" is the leader of a gang in Texas, near the
Mexican border. He lives like Charles Manson on a secluded
ranch with his wife and the rest of his gang, killing
everything that crosses their path. And when a gang member
named "Babyface" (RUSTY JOINER) deserts him, carrying with
him the darkest of all secrets, "Raf's" people do not rest
until they chased him down. Positioned opposite "Raf" is
"Savannah" (CAROLYN NEFF), a young and innocent woman in
love with "Bayface".
The phase 'The Good, The
Bad and the Ugly" can apty describe the career of Ulli
Lommel! With any luck we've pass the ugly and are going back
to the good as all the reviews of this film have been very
postive.
Ulli
Lommel's ABSOLUTE EVIL - FINAL EXIT is a film noir full of
unexpecetd twists about love, revenge, ghosts, waterboarding
and David Carradine, whose reflective performance as a
retired gangster, holding court in a
wheelchair next to a fire he keeps burning to chase off the
chill of mortality, is a requiem for all the outlaws he
played in his memorable career.

"I only want that you love me" - is what Carradine's
character in ABSOLUTE EVIL seems to be saying to us.
It's also the title of a famous Fassbiinder movie. Sushi,
torture and love. FINAL EXIT is all of that, and more.

David Carradine was meant to play the lead in the next two
installments: ABSOLUTE EVIL - LIFE AFTER DEATH and
ABSOLUTE EVIL - RETURN FROM THE DEAD. Who will play his role
is unknown at this point. An officical Release date is
unknown.
But don’t worry, Ulli will be continuing his dtv work. His
2009 slate looks like this
Manson
Cult Killings,
D.C.
Sniper,
BigFoot,
Unabomber,
House
of Horrors.
He also has a curious projected called
Frankenstein in 3D.
His press for the film calls it “A 2010 update of the
classic novel” The original novel is about a Victor
Frankenstein who is a Swiss student that discovers the
secret of animating lifeless matter and, by assembling body
parts, creates a monster who vows revenge on his creator
after being rejected from society. This is the plot of Ulli
updated verison.
MONSTERMAN is an out-of-luck WRESTLER with a tiny, but
dedicated following, a group of teenage geeks. During his
last performance, his final fight, Monsterman suddenly dies
in the ring. Young Dr. Frankenstein's hour of truth has
arrived. A member of the fan club, this 19-year old "brain
surgeon", a freaky kid who at the tender age of 10 rescued
his guinea pig from death through mad intervention, now
brings back Monsterman from the dead in classic Frankenstein
fashion, only to see his experiment get out of control,
destroying everything in sight. In a furious finale, the
damned creature returns to the ring, turning all his
opponents into mincemeat, and becoming the most unlikely and
powerful hero of the wrestling world.
He has updated the hell out of it. He has updated it so much
the similarities seem to be the main characters name. Ulli
is looking to have a $10 million budget and it will be
released March 2010. Like always I will keep you updated.
